Play ground - model for a playground which incorporates solar energy 2008
Solar Racer
This is a slider painted to remind of a race car. What reminds of a back spoiler is a solar panel which generates electricity. In the middle of the slide way there is incorporated a thin film solar panel that works as a sensor. The sensor reacts when a body is shadowing the incoming sun rays. The unbalance is used to transform the electricity outcome from the panels into sound.
Orange
This is a combined resting place and music instrument. The instrument works as a Theremin and is maneuvered through shadowing the solar panels with the hands. By shadowing the panel its possible to adjust the pitch of the tone as well as creating rhythms.
Reflection.
This pieces was a continuation of Solarsisu, unfortunately this project was in a bad timing and its future was decided in the shadow of the financial crises in the fall of 2008. It could not receive the needed means to be carried out.
