This little pearl of gallery space is located at the cultural center Lapinlahti in Helsinki. As the name suggests it used to be the morgue when Lapinlahti was still a mental hospital. As a scenery of the the installation work The garden before breath reaches to the nearby Hietaniemi cemetery, which is the old main cemetery in Helsinki just a stones throw away, where the fantastic artist and painter Hugo Simberg is having his rest. The work is a free form interpretation of, and a homage to one of his masterpieces, The garden of death.
