Installation work “Dalecarlian painting from Abyssinia” Presented at Ottilia Adelborg Museum in Gagnef, Sweden from July to September 2018 in relation to GAIR project.
In Ottilia Adelborg´s archive I found some old newspaper clips dated back to 1935 and an old Dalecarlian painting with the motif of thr Old Testimonial story “Queen Saba (Sheeba) visit King Salomo. These findings set me off to field-studies in various directions, one leading to Ethiopia and the other to the deep forests of Dalecarlia known as Finnmarken, ( The Finn-forests) named so after the settlers from Finland who migrated there during the 17th century. This was my interpretation of these findings and the following research.
